Tourism Development and Promotion has a massive impact on Britain as it attracts other tourists looking for holidays to visit the different ranges of places and trips Britain has to offer. There are different types such as; National (Visit England), Regional (South East England) and Local (Bolton), which main aim is to attract inbound and domestic tourists to visit those places.

National(Visit England)
Visit England is in the public sector and is for people wishing to visit somewhere in England and for more information about tourist destinations around England. Also on the website there are a range of languages available on the visit England website are, Spanish, Dutch, French, Netherlands , Italian and English, this is because it is trying to meet the needs of their greatest visitor type. The website promotes cycling trips in rural areas. There are a range of accommodations to stay in such as, boats, caravans, camping, self-catering, guest houses, hotels, bed and breakfast, castles, glamping etc.. However this is showing what England has to offer in which would bring inbound tourists to our country.
Regional(South East England)
Visit south east England is for people wishing to visit there and to get a lot more information about, accommodation, transport and events there which is in the public sector. Also, there is only one language on the website which is English, also the website promotes all the events they have coming up such as the London Olympics and Para-Olympics also the different accommodations such as, hotels, self-catering, caravans, boats, guest houses, bed and breakfast etc.. This would bring inbound tourists into the country.
Local(Visit Bolton)
Visit Bolton website was made for people who would like to visit Bolton and want more information for what there is to do and also accommodation in which you wouldn’t have to go to the travel agents. However, on the website the languages that are available are Chinese, French, Spanish, Dutch and Italian. The website promotes Bolton in which attracts people to want to visit Bolton. There is a range of accommodation in Bolton such as, guest houses, hotels, bed and breakfast, self- catering and caravan and camping sites. And on the 16th of September Bolton are holding an event for ‘’calendar girls’’ by Tim firth. It’s also important for Bolton to tell local residents what’s going on in the town such as events and local news, which would invite more people to go into town which would make them more money. This would also bring inbound tourists into the country as its showing all the different places to visit in Bolton that there are.
